A NEW DIGITAL HUB



Alongside the launch of our brand new website, we officially released Sanctum; our digital hub for all things Akeroth. With this, you can now play Drakonym directly in your browser, including:

  • An in-depth character creator
  • A shareable adversary builder
  • An encounter builder and tracker
  • A perk and spell card builder complete with artwork
  • A custom clock tracker
  • A detailed homebrew studioย 
  • And a full compendium for all things Drakonym!



Not only is all of this at your fingertips, but we have also created our very own VTT within Sanctum, where you can actually play Drakonym!

Before we dive into the updates for this month, we want to take a moment to thank you all for how you have received the Drakonym 1.5 core mechanics update.

When we announced the changes, we knew they were significant. We knew some may be uncertain. But the response from our community has been incredible. We thoroughly appreciate the genuinely thoughtful, engaged and excited comments weโ€™ve received about the new direction of the game.

Your feedback, your playtest reports, your enthusiasm for the refined mechanics - it all matters. You've made it clear to us that these changes were needed and valued. Thank you for trusting us through that process.

Now what else is new?

The Books Are Almost Complete!

We're in the final stages of finishing Drakonym's content which includes all supplimental content. What started as simply expansions is becoming a complete ecosystem of tools, content, and resources for your dragon-bonding adventures.



What's Coming:

Nearly all the digital PDFs are finalised and ready for release. We're doing final passes on remaining pieces to ensure everything is polished and perfect.

Why This Matters:

Following Dragon's Roost and our continued playtesting, we've been reflecting on Drakonym and what it needs to deliver the experience we envisioned.

We're making significant changes to the core mechanics of the game. This comes from honest feedback, real playtesting, and a commitment to making Drakonym the best it can be.

The Drakonym Solo Rulebook is nearly complete. We're in the final stages of development and refinement. While we don't have a hard release date yet, expect it very soon.

Even better? You can expect the alpha version of the solo rulebook by the end of this week!

While this version will be untested, unedited and incomplete, it will open the door into what awaits you inside your solo adventure next month!

Drakonym continues to evolve, and this month brings some major developments!

๐Ÿ“– Core Rulebook: Closed

The Drakonym core rulebook is officially closed. No more changes, no more additions; the foundation of Drakonym is locked, polished, and ready!

This is a monumental milestone. The core rules that define the bond between rider and dragon, the mechanics of combat, the use of Shadow Die, spellcasting, lore and more, are all finalised.


๐ŸŽฎ Solo Rulebook: Our New Focus

With the core rules complete, our attention has turned to the solo rulebook. We're expanding and refining the solo mechanics to ensure players can experience the full depth of Drakonym, whether they are playing alone or with a group.

Two New Demos Arrive

To help you experience Drakonym, we've created two distinct demos:

The Journey Demo:
This is the full Level Zero experience. Through 20 narrative scenes, you will:

  • Discover your Kin
  • Choose your Class and Career
  • Meet and bond with your dragon
  • Learn every core mechanic in play: combat, spellcasting, battles
  • Come away with a fully playable Level 1 character

The Journey is fully playable solo or with a group - no Herald (GM) required. It's a complete introduction to what Drakonym is all about!



The Origins Demo:
New to Drakonym and feeling overwhelmed? Start here.

The Origins Demo is a shorter, gentler introduction that walks you through the basics of how Drakonym works. You'll learn the d6 mechanics, get comfortable with rolling dice, and understand the core flow, without being introduced to the Shadow Die or other advanced mechanics.

Think of it as a stepping stone to The Journey. It's perfect for absolute newcomers or for groups that want a quick taste before committing to the full experience.

Both are available now and fully playable!


What This Means:
